The Heartland team is just one point away from relegation and I don't think they can really maintain that position until the end of the season despite the few remaining games. If you take a look at their recent form, Nassarawa united and Akwa United are both very serious and in form to get themselves out of the relegation zone. There is still a tight competition at that buttom between the three teams fighting their way out from relegation and every point is necessary at the moment.
Heartland was relegated last season and was handed out a slot to play this season due to Beyond limit's football academy dual interest; the owner also operates Remo stars. Now, heartland's management didn't learn or prove to be better than the previous season it'll not be great to see them fall back to relegation again. But their performance still shows they were not prepared to leave the relagating position.
The 16th position the Heartland occupies is tempting for them to likely fall to the relegation zone if they don't sit up immediately to win at least 4 out of their remaining 8 matches.
Winning at least 4 matches will give them an edge to sit above the relegation zone because Akwa United and Nasarawa United are a few points, not more than two points below them. Any match win from them, and a lost match from Heartland will keep one of them ahead of relegation zone, pushing Heartland to relegation zone. Heartland wouldn't like that to happen to them, to be relegated after the state government pumped millions in the team, for the team to perform than they did last season(to stay above relegation zone).
