I think that it should be done, stopping people from doing what can be harmful to them. And if gambling is becoming harmful to them, then anyone who's concerned to that guy needs to be stopped. But if they don't want someone's help and they insist, they are on their own and they're free to do things that might be harmful or helpful to them. Whichever is going to be the result of it will vary based on how they handle things. If they're a bad handler, then that also means that they don't want themselves to get into a good situation.
