You mean the kind of luck that happens when I used my school fees to stake a football bet on a 2.0 odd and eventually I came out winning and I had my school doubled, at that time I had no extra funds to buy my course materials, but when my luck played out I felt so good that I took that risk at that time. So to say that my luck played out at the right time.
No. the reverse actually. The luck that you had lost your tuition fee in an attack and heartbroken you used the $20 you had left to play on a casino not because you wanted to double your money and get back your fees but because it was what you felt at the time to do. And when you did it you had an unexpected multiplier and won big. You were able to pay your fees and use the extra to sort out your books and other living expenses.

I think losing hope in a match during the last minute and throwing away your bet slip is part of such luck. I have been in this kind of situation in the past, say around 3/4 years ago. I could remember I bet Benfica to win a match at home (but I have forgotten the opposite team). So that match being the last game on the slip where I was expecting $50 took all the 90 minutes without a goal and 5 minutes additional time was given. I gave up  at 94 minutes and fonded the slip and threw it outside my corridor and slept off. Behold, I woke up in the money and went around to friends to discuss the disappointment from the bet but at the time I mentioned that Benfica losing playing draw was the reason I lost my bet. I was told that Benfica got a goal few seconds to the end of the match. Wow... My joy knew no bounds as I went back went back to my corridor to pick my slip back.
