Overall, I just don't want Coach Malone to be fired because of his contributions with the team, but it is what it is. It happened already.
We love him, he's part of the team that has brought the franchise their very first championship and that can't be denied. He earned and then with some misunderstanding, the management is willing to go that far and end their ways. We will see him soon and he'll be loved still by the next home we'll he'll go.
The Nuggets just have to move on and hope that the new coach taking over can meet management’s expectations getting them back to the NBA Finals again.
There is a big expectation that's been set by Coach Malone so the next coach knows that there is a huge burden that he's bringing behind his back. But I am sure that he knows what he's doing because he's been with the Denver Nuggets since 2017.
And I guess the management and the GM and coach have different opinions on how to run the franchise, yes, they've won a NBA title but I guess it's not enough for the management, or at least they are expecting another one for the city.
It just doesn't make sense though that two coaches have been fired in succession that brought the team to their glory. If Jenkins and Malone's record is that bad, then we will understand it. But they are winningest coach in their franchise and so we might not known the real reason and all we have is speculation.
