I practically don't subject myself to some archaic beliefs in the religion, like the jihad and some other things such as encouragement of polygamy. With the knowledge I have acquired from different aspects of life, both in school, from socializing with people that are more knowledgeable than I am, I have learned so many good things that made me to self abolish some kind of islamic believes, I don't care if others are still practicing it but personally I don't. Some things are of the old doctrines, which in this new era, so many things has changed. In my history class I learned that in Africa, there's a tradition that forbids twins children, traditionally it's an abomination and therefore twins were killed, it was practiced for a long time until it was stopped.
That's how some doctrines are in the Islamic, christian and other religion, old doctrines that are still being followed by some people that refused to be illuminated.
   What OP is driving at doesn't make any sense to me, and if he is looking at this particular process of promoting casinos as a Haram, did he not even think of other worse practice that people of those religion are even doing behind the light.
