The United States leads the world as the strongest economy, with a GDP exceeding $27 trillion. Its success is due to its technological innovation, robust financial market, and ability to attract global investment. China ranks second, with a GDP close to $20 trillion, standing out for its investment in infrastructure and digitalization.
This assessment is classic because it relies on fundamental criteria that do not capture all the changes that have occurred subsequently. The United States economy is indeed the largest, and its production capacity as an integrated system is what embodies this greatness. However, a good economy is not the only one that is large. Today, for example, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar have very high GDPs, good growth rates, and high population happiness indicators, even though the two countries combined do not equal the economy of a single American state.
