For David De Gea to even be considering a return to Manchester United in the first place shows just how much love he has for the club especially after the controversial departure from Manchester United. His heart really lies with the club. I don’t see anything bad or wrong with his decision because in the end his happiness is all that matters.
The fact that Manchester United are even thinking of getting De Gea back shows how far the team has fallen. The fact that they have a goalkeeper who is prone to errors doesn't mean they should go back to De Gea, in my opinion, that should not be what Manchester United should be looking for. The season is almost over, calm done and look for a long-term replacement of Onana. De Gea may be doing well in Fiorentina, but let's not forget that his last years at United were not elite, even though he was once the best keeper in the world at a point in his United Career. People need to let go of the idea they have as a player and focus on what that player actually is at the moment.
The environment of United is one where players don't succeed, so the fans should be asking questions about that first. Why is it that every player that comes to United ends up being a flop? For a very long time, Bruno Fernandes and a few others have been the players who have been signed to United who have actually lived up to their expectations. Why is that so?
