I watched an old video today on the internet of a rival fan talking about David De Gea after a game. He said ‘De Gea can save the titanic’, that struck me as the best compliment anyone can get from a rival fan. That’s the level De Gea was at for Manchester United, still they chose Onana over their supposed club legend. Manchester United do not deserve De Gea, I’d be so disappointed if he comes back to the club.
De Gea was sacked when the club was still under Erik Ten Hag and everyone already knows Ten Hag never got along with senior players. Although De Gea has quality because of the Coach's dislike everything is different. Moreover I am sure De Gea will not return to the club, Fiorentina has placed him in a comfortable position and received good treatment. De Gea still performs well because he is given freedom, while at Manchester United where the club and player situation is chaotic, there is no reason to be a mainstay goalkeeper.
