I cannot agree with your comment. I think there is no need to do market research before investing. When you do research to invest. Then if the market does not come in your favor then you will wait to invest. This is not the right method of investing. It seems that you do not have proper knowledge about the DCA method. If you were aware of how the purchase is made through the DCA method then maybe you would not have thought of doing market research before investing.
Doing market research before investing means that a person will be discouraged about the market without any idea. He can exit without starting the investment by adopting a negative idea about the market. Moreover, when the investor invests, he should have the attention to learn that matter, which will also fail. There is no need to do market research in investing in Bitcoin if he has decided to do DCA. For those who know about the long-term Bitcoin DCA method, the fall and decline of the current market will not have any negative impact.
DCA method is an effective method for investors to buy relatively safely from any situation in the market. An investor may not be aware of the volatility of the market. He may also be scared by the volatility, but when he only trusts in the actions of DCA, he can increase his investment without any panic. Market research is certainly good, but before investment market research is worthless.
If you are entirely new to bitcoin, you need to be armed with at least basic knowledge to be proper equipped for the task ahead. This qualify as research for me and must be considered to avoid running into problems. A lot of us think that basic knowledge is only how to buy and hold and the right wallet to use but we forget that understanding the difference between bitcoin and shitcoins is also basic knowledge and if you miss that, everything will look like bitcoin for you and you may even end of investing in shitcoins thinking you want to catch a new germ at the early stage. This is a terrible way to start with bitcoin and should be avoided at all cost else the journey will be too painful for the investor.
Some of the followers of this discussion passed through this unfortunate situation and only learnt the difference between bitcoin and shitcoins after losing a lot of money to various degree of scams. This is the reason I feel this understanding qualify as basic knowledge which can be gotten through simple research such as asking questions in this forum or other places where true bitcoin believers exist.
