You don't know how the negative feedback works do you? I'll explain to you, when you are going to leave a negative to somebody, there is a message on the page saying:
Negative - You think that trading with this person is high-risk. You might also be able to add a flag.
I've put in bold what's most relevant here. So, no, you don't need to prove what you think, it has a subjective component. There are those who are more conservative, which is totally respectable, but those of us who believe in the preventive use of negative feedback are backed by that forum message. It’s a different story if you go around handing out a lot of negative feedback preemptively and most of them turn out to be wrong, in that case you’ll end up being massively distrusted. But I don’t think that’s the case here.
