I'm trying to understand what is going on between the two contenders for the title. Last time out, they both won their games and this time they are ending in draws. It's as if no one wants to one up the other because this is the time that Bayer Leverkusen more especially should have used to close the gap because it's looking as if Bayern Munich don't want to be serious.
When I saw Dortmund taking the lead, I wasn't overly excited because I know that they will not be able to hold that lead for long and although it mounted more pressure on Bayern, it still didn't stop them from getting themselves a goal and taking the lead for some time. As it is, I can say that the race for who will win the title is more interesting now more than ever and I really favor Xabi Alonso's men to win more than Bayern Munich.
Bayer Leverkusen needed a win because they were still far behind Bayern Munich, but unfortunately Bayern Munich could only draw against Borussia Dortmund. Xabi Alonso's team was unable to take advantage of the momentum to reduce the gap with Bayern Munich. In fact, in that match it was very possible for Bayern Leverkusen to beat Union Berlin, especially in that match Bayern Leverkusen played as the host and in terms of ball possession and attack they were superior.
Somehow in the remaining 5 matches Bayern Munich will slip so that Bayern Leverkusen can catch up. But looking at the 6 point gap that is currently adrift, it is very possible for Bayern Munich to emerge as champions at the end of this season.
Today I just keep wondering if the two team i.e Bayern Munich and Leverkusen always decide on same thing for their matches. Imagine they both lose see weeks back and here they are today with both playing draw. I expected Leverkusen to have made use of today opportunity to close the gap between them and Bayern Munich but they to end up in draw. I don't see any hope in Leverkusen to win the league title.
