It should be, but, it turns out that this actually makes them complacent and in the end they cannot be that optimal in the EPL.
Yes, even in the match against Brentford, in the home match, Arsenal was unable to collect 3 full points, they could only share points because of the 1-1 draw in that match.

This is their second consecutive draw in the EPL, against non-top clubs.

Arsenal have shared the points since they have not won two consecutive matches in their home league but have drawn. The commentators are very unhappy with them for their results, the EPL is not going well for them this season. Their performance against the clubs at the bottom of the points table makes the team look very unhappy. However, I think they will play quite strongly in the UCL and maybe their players are currently resting. If this happens and their performance against Real Madrid in the Champions League is more dynamic and changes, then they may have focused more on the Champions League. However, since they have lost to a strong team like Real Madrid and have not won against normal teams in their home league, it seems that they do not want to be under extra pressure since they have a big league game.
I want you to understand that it's all in the minds of this arsenal players and the coaches, they knows that the league title is as good as gone, they are not contesting for it anymore and their place in the top four teams is almost secure, so it's very understandable why they aren't putting too much effort in winning this games that they should be winning because they have more important game at hand in the uefa champions league, because I believe that if their was no important game for them in the uefa champions league, they wouldn't be resting players in this both games that they drew.
So it's not a very big surprise to me that arsenal beat a very good team like Real Madrid, I'm be drawing to smaller teams in the game they should be win comfortably.
