Some offices give employees time off during holidays, but others don't. Some even make employees come to work on Christmas Day or during other festive seasons.
But what do you think about making someone's work mandatory during holidays?
I believe there is time for everything and at such i think a worker should be allocated such periods to get on with themselves let's say some free time for relief of stress, vacation or anything of such. Cause the human body ain't robots that tend to work 247 do they'll need to rest at some point so it's needed to take a break or experience done sort of holidays to have time for oneself, family and other things as well. So it's not a proper thing to work without observing any holiday or break, this is why some workers ask for leave in between their working duration cause they needed some rest.
There are certain jobs that require a lot of mental effort and concentration and most times these type of jobs can make you start having issues with your health. Sitting on a chair for hours and looking into a computer everyday without giving you body much break is capable breaking you down overtime. If you do your findings jobs that don't pay well are the ones they stress workers out the most, they pay them like ants and they don't give these workers the break they need. Money is important but your health should be your priority, anything that deprives you of sleep shouldn't be with considering.
