Real Madrid still played on and later got the goal that separates both sides. Then Mbappe decided to reduce his team to 10 men by going for that challenge. Reckless from the French man and that's it. Red card well deserved.
Mbappe's challenge is not a good one and the ref made the right call, to me that looks like an intentional act, but why make such challenge when you're in control of the game? Madrid are not suppose to be desperate in any game since all they need is get that 3pt and wait for Barcelona to drop point but that challenge and red has put them in a tight corner which will make them not to play freely as they should have. If care is not taken Alaves might get an equalizer with the way the host are pushing the ball to get a goal and it won't help them in catching up with Barcelona, let's see for how long they'll defend this 1nil lead.
