Real Madrid were lucky to get a win after losing a key player in the first half. This is my first time seeing Kylian Mbappe acting stupid like this. As a result, Mbappe will most likely be suspended for the next 2 weeks which means he may not be eligible to play in the second leg of the Champions League against Arsenal in Santiago Bernabeu.
Mbappe only has himself to blame for getting sent off. I don't think that dangerous tackle was intentional, but there was no need for such play as the action was in the middle of the field and taking over possession of the ball was not crucial. Because of him, Real was disadvantaged for around half an hour.
I don't think I agree with the red card for the Alaves player, Manu Sanchez, but I understand the referee's decision. It was a foul, and, if not for it, Vinicious could find himself in a one-on-one situation against the goalkeeper.
They went through a real struggle, but a win is a win and 3 points is what they were desperate for to not fall too far behind Barcelona.
