Like I’ve been saying over and over again, Arsenal had already given up on the Premier League—there’s really nothing left to fight for at this point. If you’ve been following their games, you’ll notice they haven’t even been starting key players in league matches.
Meanwhile, Madrid’s been making a lot of noise about comebacks, but we’ll see how that plays out. Wednesday isn’t far off
Arsenal are more focused on the match against Real Madrid in the second leg of UCL, they managed to get through the last match without a single player being injured. Withdrawing from the EPL title race was a must as it was almost impossible to catch Liverpool points tally.
Regarding Real Madrid situation under pressure after losing 3-0 on aggregate in the first leg, they will try to make a comeback, but I'm not sure they can do it considering Real Madrid have never scored against Arsenal when the two teams have visited.
With their focus on the UEFA champion league game, I don't think there is anything that will stop them not to beat Real Madrid in the second leg, because the level of their performance has increase higher for people to have confidence on them to lift this trophy. Talking about the premier league trophy, I don't think Arsenal have the capacity to meet up with Liverpool because the gap is too high for Arsenal to recover, but nothing will stop Arsenal not to end up in 2nd position.
Even though they want to make a comeback in the second leg, I don't think Real Madrid will secure more than 1 goal because Arsenal will increase their strength to make sure they secure victory again.
