I'm hearing that Mbappe will miss only one game. If that is true, then this league is not fair at all. That challenge deserves at least a 2-match ban, and that's if the committee is lenient with Mbappe. That was a reckless challenge that could have sent Blanco to the hospital.
He was frustrated, and he allowed himself to be indisciplined. Things like that should be punished so players know what they stand to lose when they make a reckless decision.

I haven't seen when a red card offense like foul will lead a more than one match suspension when you didn't insult the referee or players on the field. It's a fair judgment depsite the gravity of what Mbappe did. However, Mbappe should be careful with the way he is macking his opponents and should not do it out of anger or frustration to avoid this from happening again next time.

The opposing player was lucky that his leg was not broken. Mbappé kicked the player's foot hard without interfering with the ball in any way. In my opinion, he should have been banned for more than one match because it seemed like he did not aim for the total intervention. If the player had been injured, his career would have probably ended or he would have been out of action for at least a year. Therefore, we can evaluate this as an unsportsmanlike foul.
