Real Madrid performed brilliantly when they beat Manchester City and Atletico Madrid but after that their performance began to erratic with the defeat to Arsenal in the Champions League. Moreover, in La Liga, if they are not consistent with the remaining matches, then the hope of retaining the title this season could be dashed because Barcelona performed quite impressively by widening the points gap to 4 points.
I think Real Madrid's focus is on the second leg of the Champions League because they have to try hard to beat Arsenal with a score of 4-0 to be able to qualify for the next round. A fairly tough challenge and maybe Real Madrid's chances in the Champions League are so slim at the moment. Well, to win the CDR, of course the obstacles they have to focus on are heavier because Barcelona is more confident when meeting Real Madrid, but for now I think their chances are still 50:50.
They do not really "need" a 4-0, they need a 3-0 and then maybe penalties would be fine, or even just a situation where they could win on extra time. But I would like to say something about that Arsenal game, normally they played well in that game and they were doing fine all the way until Rice scored from freekick, and there was someone who found last 13 freekicks and he did not score any of them and some of them were horrible.
So that is why I hope that second game wouldn't be the same because Arsenal won on some miracle, Rice normally doesn't score like that from freekicks and because of this there is no reason why you should be considering the same would happen on the second game.
If nothing else, we could bet on Real Madrid to win, even if they win like 3-1 but fail to go to next stage, that would still mean we are winning the game and the bet. That should be the most important thing while betting, if we are winning then there is no problem if Real Madrid goes to semis or not.
