I can't imagine myself "playing for fun". In my opinion, the pleasures in the game are very clearly associated with winning. And if there are no wins, for me, continuing to play becomes a problem. And even a series of losses makes or would make me think about continuing to play. I can only repeat that I do not get pleasure from losses. But if you play just for fun, then losses are just part of your game. Most likely, even a long series of losses will not be considered a "streak of bad luck". The same thing happens when you play for research purposes. Since your losses are small and controllable in amount, there is no point in doing anything special after a long series of "failures".

Lol, atleast you were out plain with your taughts and it's that simple you can't just be gambling and not be affected by the losses because it's the winning for me that makes gambling fun whatever and how you want to put it, I believe a gambling will always have second taught of continue except like you said the losses aren't actually affecting him or her base on the amount or reason for him gambling.
Their are some gamblers there main aim for gambling is to win and if they can't get to win they feel in a certain way as if they are not really enjoying or having fun from the outcome of their game this feeling is because while playing the game their is an expectation to meet up with, having expectation and not getting it is what make gamblers to not enjoy their games. But when you gamble without having any expectation even if you don't win you won't feel bad about the outcome of the game, it is even possible to have fun in the game because their was no expectation to get win because of one understand gambling as a game that can't be predicted.
