Now, the landscape has clearly shifted toward regulated platforms. Yet some anonymous options still exist. So I'm curious, where does the community stand today? Would you still choose anonymous casinos, or do you prefer sticking with regulated ones?
With cryptocurrency being the fund for bankroll, I prefer casinos that allow anonymous registration but sadly with the government acceptance of cryptocurrency, and casino owners wanting to operate legally without any implication of being shut down by the government, they prefer to register and abide by the rule. Aside by that being registered casino enables the casino to boost the trust meter since most players also wanted assurance and security. Although many want to be anonymous, a much greater audience prefers the protection of the Law.
I agree with @Findingnemo, that for the casino to have a shortcut in building reputation, having a license is the easiest way.
I think we will live to see this space totally regulated in nearly every country in the near future as crypto takes further adoption and regulators scope in a keen eye on all the facets of crypto industry including online crypto gambling casinos. One day we will look back on these days of unregulated casinos as the "wild wild west."
We do not need to wait, we are witnessing the changes already. Many casinos that were once allowed anonymous players (not undergoing KYC) are now implementing KYC procedures and is mandatory for a player to be able to continue playing on their platform.
Soon, anonymous casinos will be “criminalized (by the authorities)”, just like mixers.
Isn't the government already implementing this?
