Manchester United are not going through a good period, but let's say that calling them mediocre is not an insult but an observation
i am sorry, i remember the good times when they were the most feared team in Europe
they have a team worth 694 million euros but they are not performing as they should in the Premier League, i would ask myself two questions
How expensive the squads are does not really matter anymore in football. You may have the best squad and the most expensive squad in the world, but if you don’t know how to put them into good use as the coach, you’ll fail woefully and would have wished for a less expensive squad depth. Manchester United current problem may persist till next season and that’s exactly how Chelsea had to battle out to reach the current state they are now. Manchester United should take action in order to filtrate this their current situation which is not commendable.
Nottingham Forest are a point different from Newcastle and two points from Manchester City in the league table but as much as they will merit the opportunity to play in the Champions League next season if they can complete the season in top four I still feel it will be a waste of opportunity because let’s be realistic how far do you think Nottingham Forest will go if the eventually qualify for the UCL next season?
Does that really matter if they get to qualify for the champions league? Appearing in the champions league amongst 20 teams in the premier league is already a thing of prestige for them that they’ll keep in their records for many years to come. Nottingham Forest may not do well after qualifying but I don’t agree that it’s a waste of ticket because they fought well to achieve it and were better than any team you may have thought should be qualifying for the champions league and not them.
