Betting is no different from trading, because traders also analyze the deal before making a bet, study the charts, look at the upcoming news on the asset they want to buy, this is the analysis of the deal. Different games can differ, for example, slots cannot be compared with trading, because in this game everything is decided entirely by luck, and in trading I have not seen a single successful trader who would open deals simply at random, relying only on luck.
I do have this feelings that anyone that thinks trading is the same thing with gambling don't know how to trade but I will respect people's opinion on why they said so. In some aspects, trading can be term as a gambling, like leverage trading and futures are ways you can trade but at the end, you are gambling if that's the way you are trading, you can make money from it and you can lose everything doing high leverage trading but you can't lose money on spot trading if you don't sell.
Also comparing trading and slot that you have to depend on luck is really crazy, trading involves both technical and fundamental analysis, you don't trade unless you have a hint it will go in your direction but trust me, you can't do anything about slot, everything that happen is entirely on the randomness of the casino and how the hedge is draw for the players, if the casino doesn't want you to win, even if you set everything you want it will still give you nothing.
