Mbappe red card for kicking Antonio Blanco's leg was a huge blow to Real Madrid, who were struggling to close in on Barcelona in the title race. The foul should not have been committed because Real Madrid were not under pressure. Whether the violation was intentional or not, what is clear is that he cannot strengthen Real Madrid in the next match. Losing Mbappe is very detrimental to Real Madrid because they have to lose their mainstay player at a crucial time, especially in the last few matches, their front line has been very unproductive.
It was a very careless decision by Mbappe, he should understand better than to do that. this shouldn’t spell the end of their hopes in the title race because they can start the next game with Endrick in number nine position until he is available to play and as we all know Endrick is also as good though not up to Mbappe but can cause real problems for their opponents.
Mpape failed to apply caution in his practice in the match, he intentionally went straight for the guy and he deserves the red card he got.
Nonetheless, as there is a replacement for his wing, I don't think Real Madrid should lose their entire hopes of getting in and closing on Barcelona since Real Madrid sure will find a good replacement for him. The next match for Real Madrid is against Arsenal tomorrow and Mpape is back on the lineup in the Champions League so everything is Cool for Real Madrid so far.
