(thinking they can get more) - then lose - regret. These are all common cycles in gambling, so there is no need to beat yourself up, if you have decided to gamble then be a responsible gambler.
It all just happens because we are already tempted to gamble, especially when we see someone win a huge amount, thinking that we can do it as well. This kind of mindset could influence our actions and break our promise. Hearing gamblers blaming themselves is very usual because we also experience the same. But despite being in this situation, I still don't think that gambling is bad. It's only going bad if we lose control of ourselves.
