I think Ben is just stating what he thinks of the project if he has seen the same scheme on how it goes for pi. Most of us did also see it as a scam but because they've been asking for KYC for how many years and there's no clear signs and paths of where they're going. But then, one day they're about to get listed to a known exchange and everything changed overnight. And you're right that these exchangers don't really care for the project nowadays. Even as for Binance, they wouldn't care about that and all they care is on how much volume and money that they can charge them for listing and as well as commission through trading fees that will be generated from this project.

I'm not against what he said, Pi (as a team) doesn't cover its own words, and we all have seen such schemes over the years. At least, he didn't list it in his platform. However, if ordinary people/ newcomers believe and want to support a project, then things are different. Some projects can be in a sleeping mode for years and then suddenly become viral. Now the only question is how long this will last. Undecided
