There are people who are hasty in criticizing people losing money to gambling, stating it to be a big financial mistake. Gambling could be a financial mistake, but that will be only when you are gambling irresponsibly. Gamblers who are gambling responsibly and not intentionally gambling for money making can still make money in the process, a life changing amount in some few cases.
People who are on the side of criticism, and using their money for other purposes, still fun but no potential of them to make money from it could be said to be the ones making the financial mistake. What do you think?
You cannot say for sure that because they are not having potential to make the money back it's a financial mistake, they may have choose to just have fun and not care the amount  they loose to have fun because  they know that they are probably going  to get the money back  from their other income sources so it's actually not a financial mistake because they are benefiting just the way they wanted to from such expenses and for them that satisfaction gotten is enough to be considered as worth the money.

Gambling responsibly is an actual good use of your money and not a financial mistake but thinking that you want to quickly get rich gambling can lead you to making some financial mistakes gambling, so basically  they are different things all together but society has made it looked like gambling generally is a financial mistake not minding the Intentions behind it or even howw you go about it and how you gamble. They forget you can actually get lucky and they will now at that point  agree to it not have  been a financial mistake.
