Newcastle played extremely well today, Newcastle are really fighting for champions league spot, and am sure they will be able to get that. Newcastle performance has been good recently, and they are currently at 3rd position with just 4 points behind Arsenal which is in second position. I knew Newcastle will win crystal place today, but I was surprised to see Newcastle score 5 goals in the match crystal palace were just humiliated in the match, and with the way Newcastle are playing, if Arsenal are not careful, Newcastle will end up taking the second position from Arsenal.
It's not just today that they performed well, the victory over Crystal Palace made them achieve 5 consecutive wins in the EPL, this success makes them now in 3rd place in the standings, two points ahead of Nottingham and four points ahead of Man City who are in 5th place. This kind of performance needs to be maintained in order to secure a place in the UCL Zone, there are still 6 games left and anything can happen if they are unable to maintain the performance as shown in the last five games.
Arsenal, who have just made it to the UCL semifinals, must refocus on securing their position in second place. Newcastle winning streak could be a threat to them.
