So here is the tension, has Bitcoin’s revolutionary edge been delayed by its growing acceptance? Or is this just the next phase of the resistance, one where Bitcoin quietly penetrates the system from within and then bending it towards something better?

It will be funny to think that bitcoin would just have been accepted. Sometimes to revolutionize and change something does not happen in a day; the delayed acceptance, which is slowly growing, is all part of the process.
Bitcoin is not yet mainstream; it will be mainstream when it becomes a household name.
As long as its core values are upheld, no matter how much time would be gone, it would be stil worth it to wait rather than to expect something glorious in a day or even a year.
