Congratulations to Arsenal, they just knocked out a 15-time Champions League winner. Martinelli scored Arsenal’s second goal to seal their victory against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. On aggregate it’s a 5-1 win for Arsenal.
To everyone who doubted, Hala Madrid!
Not a five star performance from the Gunners, but they proved they had something good to offer, and they made their statement.
I'm sorry but "not a five star performance"? Seriously? They knocked out Real Madrid after winning not only the first match in London (which could have easily ended 6-0 if it wasn't for Courtois), they even won the away game, a match that almost everybody was sure Real Madrid would have easily won. For me it was a really solid performance and they did even more than what they were supposed to do.
Please disregard that comment that obviously came from a fan that is disappointed, try and bear with him because it may be a form of consolation for their loss. For a long time, I have never seen this Arsenal performance, and winning Real Madrid in the champions league is definitely a five-star performance. Arsenal did not only eliminated Real Madrid, they played far better than them especially in the first leg where the key players of the defending champions were denied the ball by the Gunners. I think a good number of the football community cannot help but cherish the courage and determination of Arsenal in this champions league.
