Previously, many Madrid fans said that Arsenal fans should watch the second leg match where they said that Madrid is the comeback king, but unfortunately that did not happen. And yes, Real Madrid does have good quality players in their positions but that cannot make them powerful with the results of their match last night, it has been proof that no matter how good the players are in one team, it does not mean that they will be an unbeatable team. Also, in my opinion, last night's game, Arselan dominated the game more.
I don't know how they were able to delude themselves into thinking they would come up with a stellar performance after watching them being horrible all season. Madrid has never had a good all-around performance this season. I mean in every single game, and I kept saying it, that their individual quality is the reason why they're still in competition, and the day the individual quality is quiet, the team would crumble.
I expected the individual quality to show in the first leg, but unfortunately, Courtois showed up, and that was not enough. After losing that first leg by 3-0, I knew there was nothing Madrid could do. All their antics about the Benabue and social media posts and interviews didn't move me because I've been waiting for this team all season, and I know they're not good enough as a team to stage a comeback against a highly motivated Arsenal.
There's a reason Madrid drops points against almost every big team they've played this season. The attack is the only working part of the team. The midfield and defence are nonexistent. You can't win titles like that.
If you watch their La Liga games, you'll see them get outplayed by mid-table teams like Betis, Valencia, Bilbao, Sociedad and sometimes, based on their quality, they will hold on and win in the end; that has been their story this season. They're very poor. This is the worst Madrid team I've seen in years, and it's also funny because this is the Madrid team with one of the best qualities in this era.
