Newcastle played extremely well today, Newcastle are really fighting for champions league spot, and am sure they will be able to get that. Newcastle performance has been good recently, and they are currently at 3rd position with just 4 points behind Arsenal which is in second position. I knew Newcastle will win crystal place today, but I was surprised to see Newcastle score 5 goals in the match crystal palace were just humiliated in the match, and with the way Newcastle are playing, if Arsenal are not careful, Newcastle will end up taking the second position from Arsenal.
It is safe to say that Newcastle have definitely held a spot for the champions league next season with this outstanding victories they attained in their last two games particularly the scoreline of their game against Crystal palace, 5-0, which now takes them to 3rd place on the table. If they can keep consistency in the next few games then the battle for the 4th and 5th spot will be between Chelsea, Manchester city and Nottingham forest as to who will bow out to the UEL.
