Nottingham does seem to have a slight decline in performance but if we compare it to last season's performance then it is still extraordinary, you can still see last season Nottingham finished in what position. In my opinion Nottingham still deserves to be called a one season wonder with its fast movement and is able to provide tough resistance to teams in the EPL this season. Therefore I am sure they can still maintain their Champions League ticket next season.
This is what makes me a little doubtful about Nottingham's ability to be in the champions league zone next season. When Newcastle, Man City, Aston Villa started to be consistent, Forest actually experienced two consecutive defeats which made their chances in the champions league zone even more threatened.
If Nottingham does not learn from their mistakes and does not want to improve themselves in the remaining matches, especially considering the remaining match schedule, the opponents they have to pass are many tough teams such as Tottenham, West Ham and Chelsea. So their current position is starting to be under pressure, Nottingham may not be able to finish in the top 4, because big teams will come to take over their place again. The defeat against Everton opens up opportunities for other teams to overtake them such as Aston Villa, Man City, and Chelsea.
