It will be funny to think that bitcoin would just have been accepted. Sometimes to revolutionize and change something does not happen in a day; the delayed acceptance, which is slowly growing, is all part of the process.
Bitcoin is not yet mainstream; it will be mainstream when it becomes a household name.
So in a nutshell, you're saying that the Bitcoin revolution is yet to achieve the certain goals where it can then be adjudged to
have gone mainstream. Now, I ask again, how long do you think it'll take for Bitcoin to achieve these feats you mentioned? How long do you think it'll take Bitcoin to become a global household name?
Bitcoin is already a household name in some developed world, especially if they have a high literacy rate. A research showed that about 89% of American adults have heard of Bitcoin. Which shows that Bitcoin is already a household name in the US. In other developing countries a large portion of their populations don't have idea about Bitcoin. I don't think anybody can accurately predict when Bitcoin will become a household name. Bitcoin adoption is still growing and hopefully more people will become aware and adopt it.
