The owners of Chelsea would be raving mad if they fail to qualify for the Champions league competition at the end of this season. The league is gradually coming to an end and clubs like Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Aston Villa are all pushing limits. Enzo Maresca and his boys should better buckle up.
I never saw this coming, Chelsea been placed under probability of making it to the champions league even after a very good start to the season for them. Even when they fumbled at some point, I was still optimistic and having big hopes on them to bounce back and retain the top four positions. Chelsea should be a rather disgrace if they don’t make it to the champions league. With the teams occupying the first five positions on the league table, it is almost not certain Chelsea can do anything again unless a miracle happens for them. Those teams are consistent and I feel it’ll not be easy for Chelsea to replace any of them on the table standings as it is now.
It is better to focus on one thing at a time. Chelsea should win the conference league first, so they will automatically qualify for the season conference league again because as for the Champions league they won't succeed in qualifying, you see that slot there, Manchester City or Aston Villa will be the club to take over that position during the end of the season. I am making my speculation on the club that wants it the most by showing how badly they want it in terms of performance. Pep Guardiola will do anything to get that slot.
