Xabi Alonso has achieved great things at Bayer Leverkusen. I see him as the number one candidate for Real Madrid. However, he will be in a different atmosphere at Real Madrid than at Bayer Leverkusen. I think he can be successful again, but this time things won't be as easy as before. In his career as a footballer, he faced tough tests under pressure, but I don't think his career as a manager has faced this yet...
If next season Xabi Alonso really becomes the coach of Real Madrid, I am sure he will change Real Madrid into a much better team than this season because he himself was once a Real Madrid player and also experienced more things when he was still an active player at Real Madrid. And now it is time for Xabi Alonso to prove that he also has the mentality and tactics to coach a team in a more successful direction than the previous coach. And I hope that can come true for Real Madrid because the Real Madrid team must also focus on buying better players besides the team coach for next season.
Though nothing is guaranteed yet but if truly this deal is completed, it would really be massive for this real Madrid team because xabi Alonso has proven to be very competent while coaching Bayern Leverkusen, and I believe that their are so many good things he will bring to this real Madrid side, just that Bayern Leverkusen will be the biggest loser if he is price away from their graps.
Then as for this real Madrid team, their are some position that needs to be upgraded because they are seriously lacking there, and that position is the central midfield position.
Since Toni Kross left the club, they have really struggle this season in controlling bigger games, because he was just like the anchor man that dictate the tempo of the game for this real Madrid team, so his absence has been greatly felt, so replacing him with someone quality enough to fill that void left by Toni Kross is going to be the first big task of xabi Alonso if he eventually sign as manager of real madrid.
But I heard that real madrid are also eying klopp the former manager of Liverpool, though I still sees it as mere speculations just as in the case of xabi Alonso, until it's official, anything is possible.
