Be out linked to the hack or not, or maybe the coin that eXch processed for the hackers is not up to the investigated amount, we just know that Lazarus group is responsible for what that happened.
C-T thanks for bringing this releva information to the notice of the local board, although some have come across it but it was necessary someone brought it to the LB for the benefit of those who couldn't find it out from the general board.
But how long will the authority continue shutting down exchanges because they were used by the Lazarus Group to propagate their hacked funds. Or is it until all exchanges services are shutdown before the authority will be proactive and responsive to tackling this menace. Because it's like their efforts to end the Lazarus group is just on the effects instead of the cause, which leaves exchanges to suffer for what they may not know.
Obviously, no one can just tell when this Lazarus group of guys would strike; anybody could be their target to hack at any point in time. As for the exchanges, you would not blame them because they too had no knowledge of such an event happening; they just woke up to such without their knowledge of such an attack happening.
The funny thing is that the government can not understand how they strike, and this has been the issue, making it difficult for them to get caught because they can not be predicted as to when to launch an attack and how they launch their attack. But I do not think forcing exchanges to shut down because of such an occurrence is fair. Maybe they could set up modalities for hacked exchanges to recover if such happens, and to properly launch investigations on what really transpired to giving way for the hack to be executed without any notice, maybe other things could help both parties handle such a situation without any issues.
