Stop confusing casino games with sports betting!
That should be the case, casinos are casinos and sports are sports, it would be a misinterpretation if the two were equated, they are two things that are very different in any way.
Gamblers may use smart strategies or whatever type, perhaps in casino games such as poker, roulette, slots and so on, this applies even though smart strategies do not bring one hundred percent profit, In sports betting, smart strategy may have nothing to do, sports gambling is more likely for users to understand statistics, match analysis, etc, especially understanding about the teams competing in matches, either opponents or those we want to bet on, there are many differences between casinos and sports betting that need to be understood.
I do agree with the points that you have raised.
A gambler is free to apply any strategy in order to increase the odds in his favor. They may apply smart strategies in gambling games that entirely revolve around luck (e.g. roullete, slots, etc.); or a gambler may apply simple strategies in technical sports-betting (e.g. odds, statistics, etc.). At the end of the day, what is crucial here is the application of the gambler and his perspective on winning.
Sports-betting and casinos have been associated similarly because both involve the element of risk. While this may be true in its essence, these two are different in nature and in application, though strategies have been used to both.
