This company have major privacy issue for years, so it's not surprising it finally went bankrupt. I have doubt they would actually delete all customer's data upon request, which is another reason we should not submit any of personal data in first place when it's not necessary/important.
The biggest flex for me in all of this crisis relating to 23andme data and privacy issues is, what right do they have to sell customer data to fund their bankruptcy, and who are they selling that data to, this action may result in another serious problem in the future and clients may start to put up legal action.
It doesn't matter if they got permission to sell clients' data from the court since such court judgments can be overridden by a higher court of jurisdictions and at that time the company will be in more crisis.
