This company have major privacy issue for years, so it's not surprising it finally went bankrupt. I have doubt they would actually delete all customer's data upon request, which is another reason we should not submit any of personal data in first place when it's not necessary/important.
This is exactly what I thought about customer data. If a company's most valuable asset is its customer data, and if the company's owners are forced to sell the company or part of it to avoid complete bankruptcy, do you really think they would allow customers to delete their data so easily during this crisis? I don't think so. On the other hand, users should have deleted their data (assuming they could do so without the company keeping a hidden copy) as soon as the data breach scandal occurred. I don't think the platform's reputation remains intact after such a scandal.
