With fears of US hegemony collapsing soon, many are wondering which will become the world's biggest superpower. Currently, China is the second-largest economy in the world. It has been advancing rapidly, especially in the areas of AI, and EVs (Electric Vehicles). Companies like Deepseek and BYD are becoming a "force to reckon with".

This makes me wonder if soon China will surpass the US as the world's largest economy? If not, why? What do you think will happen if China reigns supreme in the future? Will it become the leading force of the New World Order?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

Since China’s economic reforms a few decades ago, it has been clear that China would begin its transformation into the world’s second largest economy. The reform policies involved liberalizing certain sectors while maintaining state control over strategic industries. And now in the Xi Jinping era, China’s focus has shifted to sustainable development and technological innovation. Even programs like “Made in China” show China’s ambition to lead in the global technology sector. Xi Jinping has also paid great attention and continued to strengthen the role of the state in the economy through state-owned enterprises.

Now the result is that China has managed to maintain stable economic growth, despite global challenges like the trade war and previously also the pandemic. But that has not affected even now as you describe their strength is increasing in the field of AI, EVs etc. China is at the forefront and if I am not mistaken, out of the top 10 science research in the world, 9 are dominated by Chinese universities. So now China has almost everything, it is only a matter of time before they make a new civilization glory history and replace America.
