I like slots better than sports betting because I don't need to develop a skill over time for it. Therefore I spend less time on it than I would on analyzing games and reading up on both teams. Slots is just like pick and play. You enjoy the game. The outcome depends on luck a so you spend a little time on it and you go about your other activities.
This kind of thing does depend on your own desire and confidence in a game so that we are free to choose whether we prefer to be in the slot or sports betting, and what you say I think makes sense because not everyone wants to be bothered with several things including research on performance, h2h or statistics about what is at stake so I think it's quite natural when not a few people choose slots compared to betting on sportsbooks.
