Before we confuse serendipity with luck, please note that it is not just random luck but it is luck with a meaning. It is luck that happens at the right time that when you look back on it, you see that it was meaningful and leading to somewhere, in my estimation, somewhere always better than where you have been, either physically, financially, emotionally and otherwise.

I prefer to call it luck at the right time; serendipity seems to have a deeper meaning and many gamblers do not have or know this meaning in gambling but every gambler can relate to something that happens at the right time.
Mine was when I was down to my last 100 pesos or $2 and I'm saving it for my fare to go to my sister to ask for a loan that I can use to get all my job requirements. I ended up winning $100, just enough to get all my job clearance and got a job the next week.
It's luck that happens at the right time or, in your own terms, serendipity.
