There's no way an agency will be clamping on mixers and then turn blind eyes at the people promoting mixers, it will be a kind of contradiction of purpose. If there is a way that these mixers would be clamped down without mentioning where they advertise, it would have been fine. When chipmixer was taken down, Bitcointalk was mentioned as the place they advertise their project. That was the first time Bitcointalk trended for the wrong reasons.
Well, let's see.
Blender.io = advertised here + had an ANN + active user on the forum
Sinbad.io = advertised here + had an ANN + active user on the forum
ChipMixer = advertised here + had an ANN + active user on the forum
BestMixer = advertised here + had an ANN + active user on the forum
All shutdown by agencies.
eXch also shutting down here because of a potential operation and they were advertised here, had an ANN, were super active, and even donated money to users here => ... probably nothing will happen?
What happened to the forum and its users? Exactly, nothing.
And let's not forget:
https://www.justice.gov/dag/media/1395781/dl?inlineSpecifically, the Department will no longer target virtual currency
exchanges, mixing and tumbling services, and offline wallets for the acts of their end users or
unwitting violations of regulations-except to the extent the investigation is consistent with the
priorities articulated in the following paragraphs.
