They've nothing to play for in the premier league. Whether they win against wolves or not, it would have taken them nowhere. They would still be in 14th position. So it was necessary to rest some players after a busy couple of weeks. Although, I don't know if it would have changed the outcome of the match against wolves but it will give the players time to recharge their batteries and be in good shape for the match against Athletic Bilbao.
I know Manchester United winning or losing all their matches left won’t really change anything for them on the table, but that doesn’t mean Manchester United shouldn’t take their matches serious, they are not suppose to be losing matches like that, it doesn’t make any sense, even the teams at the bottom of the table that have nothing to achieve are struggling to win their matches, then Manchester United should also care about there matches, just because they want to win the Europa league doesn’t mean they shouldn’t pay attention to the premier league matches.
Manchester United won against Lyon, some people were thinking Manchester United will win also today, but by now we should know that Manchester United are inconsistent this season, they might perform well a match, and their performance will drop drastically in the following match, so Manchester United is not a club which we should be confident about.
Manchester United are currently aiming for the Europa league title, let’s just hope Manchester United will be able to achieve that this season, but with the way they are playing currently, am not so confident yet that Manchester United will be able to win that, Amorim is really having a lots to do in Manchester United.
