In fairness, Gold has moved over $10T in just 2 years, I wonder how many decades it will take for Bitcoin to achieve that.
Indeed, the larger the capitalization, the slower the growth rate, which is something that many bitcoin investors overlook when comparing the two assets and assume that bitcoin will easily surpass gold.
Bitcoin can grow millions of times to take its market cap from a few million dollars to a trillion dollars in just 15 years but to do that we only need a trillion dollars. But for bitcoin's market capitalization to be on par with gold, we would need $19-20 trillion and I wonder, where would we get that huge amount of money? While Bitcoin is not even globally recognized and its demand is limited to speculation.
If I remember correctly, bitcoin's capitalization in 2021 when it reached $69k was more than $1 trillion, but after 4 years and now its capitalization has not exceeded $2 trillion. That means it would take decades for bitcoin to reach $10 trillion, let alone equal or surpass gold.
