I know that Aston Villa are very strong and that in the last few games they have been doing very well, but I expected to see a balanced game, in which Newcastle would also score a lot of goals, especially since both teams are still fighting to occupy the qualifying places for the European Champions League.
Me too I did not see balance at all if it was their match you are emphasizing, Aston Villa had so much good responsive performance and just as how coordinating their past matches are that's how this match was, could it be that Newcastle United was expecting less from Aston Villa and got big kicked from them?, they were too far behind the match formation and from their they became broken. Ollie Watkins performance was why Rashford came in a bit late because how Unai Emery does his things is that when a player started first and assisting very well he gives a lot of extension on the time they were supposed to be out for another, Watkins was better than Rashford on that match no doubt.
I agree to what you guys said, cause Newcastle won their last 6 matches before meeting Aston Villa, including the EFL Cup final so I expected them do either win or draw but it seems Aston Villa would want to extend their participation in the Champions League to next season, who would want to participate in that tournament afterall, winning Newcastle is a boost though they're in 5th position but their point is same with Chelsea and Nottingham Forest that are in 5th and 6th position and if they win their next 3 matches, there's chances of them qualifying in the Champions League again next season. Rashford might not have performed at his best but his performance was okay, he's a good addition to the team and have been improving, I'll love to see him come back to Manchester United but they might likely sell him, if only Aston Villa would be serious about a permanent deal for Rashford it would help their team since he's currently doing well there.
