Yeah, that's the best that he can do for not supporting and listing it. But on the side of PI, they'd probably rebut and might say who needs an exchange that can't even protect themselves from hackers. And as for the supporters of it, we can only wish them luck and if they're able to make such money then that's good for them.
Well, if they know the story of this hack, they will understand that it isn't an actual hack since the attackers didn't hack/ penetrate his exchanger. He made a terrible mistake by not confirming the address on his wallet. In any case, all the supporters of any coin need an exchanger, and when it gets listed (especially in some 1st Tier CEXs), it gets more recognition and a substantial boost. As for the supporters, we indeed wish them the best (and to all the supporters of any "coin"), but statements like "The new BTC" etc, it would be better not to be done. But you know, all the sc supporters said some pure jokes.
