As someone not even Catholic, gotta respect how Francis approached things differently humble background, spoke out against inequality, and tried to modernize parts of the Church. That takes courage in such an ancient institution.
My favorite Pope was John Paul II because of his selflessness. He visited my country and showed so much love for the people of my country. I haven't followed the lifetime of Pope Francis since I left my parent's house, who were staunch Catholics. But it seems he was also outstanding. I kept on reading how Pope Francis was loved by the people because of his love for the downtrodden. I pray God grants him eternal rest. I don't know how it works, but it would be better if a younger Pope is elected so that they will have more time to impact the world.
