There was a time when anything dropping as a Layer 2 especially if it had some kind of creator reward system or tokenized content spin would send the whole space buzzing. Didn’t even matter if it had a proper use case, as long as it sounded new and came with some staking twist, people were locking tokens and counting gains before listings even opened.

Funny how a bunch of us learned the hard way that hype doesn’t always translate to price action. Some of those launches dumped so fast, you couldn’t even exit before slippage ate half the bag.

Not saying we’re back in that cycle again… but I’m definitely getting those old déjà vu vibes lately. Anyone else?
