To be a merit source might be in his mind before and it could be a coincidence. But if something is happening three times already, then you can think it is copycat but two times is just to draw attention first. Also I think it would be better to overlook something like this and let us expect something good from theymos. What that matters most is if anyone given a merit source m, the person should use it for the progress of the good posters on this forum. I wish you both to become a merit source one day but theymos has been very slow about it since few years ago.
True, because we don't know the thoughts and intents of others till they make it known but I think I understand why Mia Chloe made that statement, although unnecessary, she was just saying things as she saw it.
It's Theymos that has the final say on how many individuals should be merit sources and not merely on who applied first or who came next. If I'm not mistaken, you're also amongst the people who applied to be MS and we know it's not something of competition but as humans we tend to feel that once someone else enters into a race we have put an interest to, we regard it as competition.
I may not be in Mia's mind but I feel she made that statement simply because SmartGold had all the time to submit her application but just had to wait a day after Mia did hers to drop her own. So it was like Mia Chloe gave her morale or simply reminded her that it's necessary to be a MS and that the Nigerian local board would benefit from having a handful of merit sources that's what got her to apply rather than doing it because she really wanted to. This looks more like attention seeking to me, but then again, I may never know her thoughts and intents, right?
